About Heartland Marketing Group
Heartland Marketing Group, Inc. was founded in 1994 to provide rural agencies access to national and regional insurance companies. Our initial product offerings were focused on agents located in towns where the population was under 10,000. Heartland subsequently expanded to include agents in mid-sized towns and suburbs. Our focus continues to be the small and rural agent. However, Heartland now appoints agents of all sizes recognizing that larger agencies also need access to our Specialty and Surplus lines products.
The breadth of insurance products we offer is unique to our industry. We realize that agents come to us for one major reason: markets, markets and markets. Heartland provides ten standard Personal Lines markets, eight standard Commercial Lines markets, four Farm & Ranch markets and four Surplus Lines carriers. We can find a home for practically all your standard lines risks!
In 2004, Heartland started a surplus lines division which greatly expanded the number of carriers we represent. This new division offers our agents a much broader scope of products to facilitate new business growth whether the insurance market is hard or soft.
Heartland’s underwriting staff is well versed and experienced in the industries and classes our carriers want to write. We function as your agency’s marketing department offering full access to the products offered by each of our carriers.
Finally, we don’t just offer you markets, but we show you how to use them. Our field marketing representatives are trained on our carrier’s products so they can educate an entire agency, not just the agency principal.
